2. Customer Data

When a business or other organization (“Customer”) uses Amernet to process information belonging to its customers, employees, prospects, or other individuals, Amernet may process that information on the Customer’s behalf.

In those circumstances, the Customer generally determines:

  • What information is submitted to the Services;

  • Why the information is processed;

  • Which individuals’ information is processed; and

  • How long the information should be retained.

Amernet processes Customer Data primarily to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Services and in accordance with the Customer’s instructions and applicable agreements.

If you interact with an Amernet-powered agent on behalf of one of our Customers, that Customer may be responsible for the processing of your information. Questions about how that Customer uses your information should generally be directed to that Customer.

3. AI Services

Amernet provides AI-powered communication and automation capabilities.

Depending on the Services and configuration selected by a Customer, information may be processed by AI systems to:

  • Generate responses;

  • Understand and classify communications;

  • Qualify or route inquiries;

  • Retrieve information from Customer-provided knowledge bases;

  • Schedule or facilitate appointments;

  • Summarize conversations;

  • Assist with customer support or sales workflows; and

  • Perform other functions requested or configured by the Customer.

We use reasonable measures designed to protect Customer Data and to limit access to authorized purposes.

Customer Data is not used to train generalized AI models for unrelated third parties unless expressly authorized by the applicable Customer or otherwise permitted by an applicable agreement.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  1. Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;

  2. Create and administer accounts;

  3. Process transactions and payments;

  4. Authenticate users and protect accounts;

  5. Provide customer support;

  6. Send service-related communications;
